REVIEW: L'Oreal Infallible Sculpt Contour Palettes

L'Oreal Paris Infallible Sculpt Contour Palette Review

Kim K cheekbones, here I come! The latest addition to the contour market are the super cute L'Oreal Paris Infallible Sculpt Contour Palettes and luckily for us, they make cream contouring hella easy.

If you've seen the photos making the rounds on 'clown contouring' and are thinking, how the heck do I have time to do that every morning?! Then rest assured, these little palettes are here to make the contouring #lyf MUCH simpler. So you can get those sharp cheekbones, and not be late for work.

Want to know more? Read on for the full review!

Inside these iPod-sized (does anyone even use those anymore?!) palettes are two shades; a brown-toned contour colour, and a paler shade for highlighting. The palettes also come with a pretty large mirror, which is handy, and a little fold-out that has some quick contouring tips.

To be honest, I think the space where the paper sits would be much better used for housing a blender or brush of some description, but it is what it is.

The coolest part about these products is easily the formula. These shades are super creamy (imagine touching soft butter!) so you can easily apply these with your fingertips. But not only are they lovely and smooth, but they turn to powder when blended out.

Yup! So they blend as nice as a cream, with the flawless finish of a powder once blended in. Neat, huh?

The L'Oreal Infallible Sculpt Contour Palettes come in two shades; 01 Light and 03 Medium/Dark.

The Light shade comes with a beige-white shade for highlighting and a cool-toned brown for contouring.

The Medium/Dark palette comes with a soft, pale yellow highlight shade and a warmer toned milk chocolate brown shade for contouring.

When it comes to choosing which palette is for you, pick the Light if your skin is cool-toned, or the dark if you're warm-toned. I don't think it really matters whether you have light or dark skin, as long as you pick the one that works for the undertone to your skin.

So let's give one a try! As I have a warmer undertone to my skin, I've gone with the Medium/Dark palette for this demonstration.

With a flat foundation brush, I've applied the highlight shade in the centre of my forehead, along the bridge of my nose, along my cheekbones and on my chin.

Then with the darker contour shade, I've applied it to my temples, along the sides of my nose, underneath my cheekbones and beneath my chin. You really don't need much!

I look pretty ridiculous here, but that's how much I love you guys! I'm willing to put a pre-blend photo up for you haha!

From here, all you need to do is blend everything out with your fingertips in soft, circular motions, starting with the highlight first, and then the contour. PS. blending these creams out is so easy, and my skin feels so velvety afterwards!

And that's literally all you need to do! Contouring with the L'Oreal Infallible Sculpt Palettes takes probably two minutes tops. Here's a before photo:

And here's the after:

The difference isn't that huge, but you can see how nicely blended my contour and highlight is, as well as the added warmth to my complexion. I will definitely keep this step in my daily makeup routine!

The L'Oreal Infalliable Sculpt Contour Palettes are out now in selected supermarkets, pharmacies and variety stores for RRP $29.95.
