It's time to think pink, because the third instalment to L'Oreal's Colour Riche collection is coming!
Following on from the nudes and reds ranges, the La Vie En Rose features a curated selection of pinks inspired by five of L'Oreal's ambassadors: Naomi Watts, Julianne Moore, Natasha Poly, Eva Longoria and Doutzen Kroes. And beauties, these are SO. PRETTY.
L'Oreal Paris were kind enough to send me the five lipsticks and nail polishes that will be in Australia's release and here they all are with close up snaps and swatches, so you can get your shopping list ready!
Let's get started and open these beauties up! One thing that I love about these exclusive L'Oreal collections is that all of their ambassadors are from different ethnicities and all have different features. So all we really have to do is look at the ambassador who most resembles us, and it's almost guaranteed that their makeup will suit us!
But of course, while you're not limited to just one shade, if you're only after one, it certainly makes choosing much easier!
All five lipsticks from the collection are crazy bright pinks that are very creamy to apply and the colour can be built up for a stronger colour payoff. Some are definitely more versatile thought - Eva's shade (the middle one in the image below), is a pretty universal rose mauve, while Doutzen's (up the top) is super loud! But they're all gorgeous colours.
The accompanying nail polishes are super wearable pinks, ranging from almost nude baby pink to a bright, summery coral. I love the little bottles all L'Oreal polishes come in too - the bigger bottles I own always go gluggy before I get to use them all, so this size is absolutely perfect! Plus, with five adorable shades like these, small bottles means less colour commitment!
Let's take a closer look at each shade...
Naomi's Pink Lipstick & Opera Ballerina Nail PolishNaomi's lipstick is a soft, coral shade, that probably closer to a nude than to a pink. The Opera Ballerina nail polish is a creamy, very pale pink that almost looks white.
Julianne's Lipstick & Macaron Noisette Nail Polish
Julianne's lipstick is a bright, cool-toned candy pink with tiny, dark pink shimmers. The Macaron Noisette nail polish is a slightly metallic, milk-tea kind of colour that looks perfect for everyday wear.
Eva's Lipstick & Marie Antoinette Nail Polish
Eva's lipstick is a rich, dusty pink with subtle shimmers throughout. Of the five, it's definitely the most 'everyday' colour, so I can predict this one being the first to sell out! The Marie Antoinette nail polish is a strawberry milk pink that would be perfect for a DIY french manicure.
Natasha's Lipstick & Insolent Magenta Nail Polish
Natasha's lipstick is a juicy, watermelon pink that is actually a lot more toned-down when on than when you first look at the bullet. The Insolent Magenta nail polish is a deep jewel toned purple-pink that will look amazing for winter.
Doutzen's Lipstick & So Chic Nail PolishDoutzen's pink is a true, Barbie pink that is craaaazy bright! It has a blue undertone as well, which is a bonus because it makes your teeth look a bit whiter as well. The So Chic nail polish is a tropical, orangey pink that would look super cute on your toes!
The L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche La Vie En Rose collection comes out in June 2016 in selected supermarkets, pharmacies and variety stores, but be quick, because if the last two collections are anything to go by, these will disappear super fast!
You can grab the lipsticks for $21.95 each and the nail polishes for $7.95 each.
